I'm 52 years old, I have a fulltime job as a Master Technician with a large chemical company, I'm married and have a beautiful daughter. We live in Pennsylvania in a small house where we take care of our pets, a dog, a cat, and even a turtle. We have plenty to keep us busy, so why would I start an Etsy business? It started when I got my first 3D printer. I just wanted to play around and see what I could make. However, my daughter and wife had other ideas. The challenged me to create something to sell on Etsy. I told them it wouldn't be worth the effort, because I didn't believe anyone would pay for something that I made. They put some pressure on me to try, so I made them a deal. I would come up with something and list it and when it doesn't sell, they need to let it go. To my surprise, the response was amazing. Once I listed the Blockbuster light things really took off. I have really enjoyed this entire process, but it is the response from the people that drives me to keep going.
Where it all comes together. Here in my basement is the workstation, the design station, and the shipping station. I first design every light part by part using 3D design software. Those files are then converted to print code and sent to one of the various 3d printers. The parts are then cleaned, trimmed and assembled. The final product is then tested, inspected and packaged for shipping.
My printers are all Creality Brand printers. I am currently using several CR-10S Pro V2 printers. I am also using some Ender 3 V2 printers for the small parts, and I just added the new Ender 3 S1 Plus, which I love and plan to add more.
I am currently using exclusively Eryone and Hatchbox PLA filaments. I have made countless parts with these brands, and I have never been disappointed with the quality. The colors are always beautiful with no variations.
My plan is to create things that I think are awesome, but my focus will be on quality and customer care. I have been let down by things that I have purchased online and my goal is to only ship products that I would be happy to receive myself. I hope to achieve this through attention to detail, extensive product testing and quality packaging with fast shipping. I also plan to be open to suggestions even though I can't promise custom orders at this time.
I clean and prep every part that comes off the printer. I then inspect each part for errors and dispose of any parts that don't meet my approval. I assemble the items one at a time paying close attention to how every part fits together. When finished I inspect the final product and test each item before packing and shipping. I make sure to pack everything securely as possible to prevent damage during shipping, however, in the event that the product doesn't meet your expectations, I will gladly work to make sure you are satisfied, by either replacing the item free of any charges or refunding your purchase if you prefer. I don't list any type of warranty, but I plan to do whatever I can for as long as I am doing business.
I do not plan to do gift wrapping, but I do give the option to check if this is going to be a gift. If so just leave me a message about the reason for the gift and the name of the person receiving the gift and I will be happy to include any special messaging that you would like.
